My Approach
Every business is different: there is no standard process, and the work is shaped around your business and its needs.
That said, the work usually moves through a simple cycle: understanding what’s really happening in the business, deciding where to focus, and turning those decisions into action.
what’s really happening?
This work starts by understanding how your business is actually operating today.
That means looking at the full picture: what’s working and creating momentum, what’s taking more effort than it should, where growth is already happening, and where it could happen with more focus or structure.
You bring the context of running the business day to day. I bring an outside perspective to help identify patterns, tradeoffs, and opportunities that are hard to spot from inside.
The goal of this phase is clarity. Not fixing everything or jumping to solutions, but developing a shared understanding of what’s really happening so decisions are grounded in reality.
let’s focus
Once we have a clear picture of what’s really happening in the business, the next step is deciding what actually deserves attention.
Most business owners don’t lack ideas or opportunities. They lack clarity around which ones matter now, and which ones can wait.
This phase is about making choices. We look at where focus will have the highest return given your current capacity and constraints. The goal is to reduce noise, create direction, and make growth feel more manageable.
Common questions we work through include:
What’s actually driving results today
Where additional focus would deliver the most impact
What’s worth investing time and energy in right now
What can wait, and what isn’t worth pursuing at all
This is where clarity turns into direction.
from decisions to action
A growth strategy is only as good as your ability to execute it. It has to hold up once you’re back in the day to day.
This phase is about turning decisions into action while the business keeps running. As plans meet reality, we adjust, refine, and stay focused on what actually moves things forward.
That may mean:
Translating priorities into concrete next steps
Adjusting plans as capacity, people, or timing change
Pressure-testing decisions against real constraints
Staying focused when new issues and distractions come up
The work is practical and iterative. We deal with what’s in front of you, make changes as needed, and keep momentum without adding unnecessary complexity.
The goal is progress that works: realistic, actionable, and sustainable.
is this a fit?
I’ve found the most success working with business owners who want a place to think clearly about their business.
This work is a good fit if you:
Are actively running the business day to day
Know there are real growth opportunities, but aren’t sure how to act on them
Have a lot in your head and want help making sense of it
Know what needs to happen, but need help turning it into action
Want to make progress on growth without breaking what already works
If that sounds like you, let’s talk.
